Community

“Community is not an ideal; it is people. It is you and I. In community, we are called to love people just as they are with their wounds and their gifts, not as we want them to be.” – Jean Vanier

“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.”

– Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NLT

New Heart Healing and Recovery

As a community, we are practicing and learning how to forgive and be forgiven. We come as we are, welcomed without condemnation or judgment, and find that we are all on this journey together. We get to experience the freedom and healing that comes through a life-giving relationship with Jesus and each other.

Clean & Sober is a by-product

As much as we honor those who have achieved sobriety in their recovery, our focus is not on being clean and sober. The focus of our ministry is to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in developing an authentic “man or woman of God after God’s own heart.”

Our Community

New Heart Ministries

We are a people filled with God’s presence, recognizing that healing cannot occur in isolation but only in healthy, godly relationships experienced in an environment where we can be seen, heard, validated, and respected.

  • ^New Heart Healing and Recovery: Weekly meetings held at various locations.
  • ^New Heart Place: Twelve to Eighteen-month discipleship program.
  • ^New Heart Foundation: Dedicated to resourcing church leaders for their intentional ministry to the broken and hurting.

We belong together

We are on this journey together, so let’s encourage each other along the way. The Bible says this: ‘ Let us consider how we can stir up one another to love. Let us help one another to do good works. And let us not give up meeting together. Some are in the habit of doing this. Instead, let us encourage one another with words of hope. Let us do this even more as you see Christ’s return approaching. ‘ Hebrews 10:24-25
